Website Design Process
What you can expect when working with DESIGNforCMS.

Design Process in an Nutshell

Use the online form to describe what you need. If you prefer, you may simply email us. The information you provide will be used to better understand your project and create relevant designs. Once your order and payment have been received, an account for your project will be created. This is where you will be able to view your drafts, request revisions and contact your project manager.

Two or three original Concept Drafts will be provided. You can choose any one of these to use as your Base Design, or you may choose to mix and match elements from the different drafts. Once you choose a Base Design, DESIGNforCMS will revise it until you're completely satisfied.

Once you've approved your Final Design and the Moving Mock-up, you will be able to test your custom designed CMS based website on a DESIGNforCMS server before giving Final Design Approval.

You will be able to download your finished site files once you have given Final Design Approval. DESIGNforCMS will be happy to help you install these files on your server or hosting account.

Step-by-Step
Your Project from Start to Finish

Order

You complete your order by using the online form and making your payment. Make sure you give us as many details as you can for your website.

Confirm

You will receive emails from us with all of the information needed to access your account, and contact your Project Manager.

First Contact

Your Project Manager will review the information you provided at the time of ordering, and will work with you on gathering any missing or unclear details. You will need to confirm this completed project description before moving onto the next step.

Concept Drafts

In three to five days, three Concept Drafts will be provided.

Your Project Manager will explain these to you and work with you to hone in on your site's general structure, color scheme and overall look. You will need to confirm these decisions before proceeding to the next step.

Base Design

In four to six days, you will provided with one Base Design.

Your Project Manager will go over the design with you and help you decide whether the design is on the right track and can proceed to the revisions stage. If not, your Project Manager will work with you and have the designers try again. You will need to approve one Base Design before proceeding to the next step.

Revisions Cycle

You will enter a cycle where you request Revisions to your Base Design, these are made and the design is resubmitted for your approval. Once you are satisfied, you will need to give Final Design Approval on your Base Design before proceeding to the next step. After this point, what was your Base Design, will become your Final Design and no further design Revisions can be made after this point.

Moving Mock-up

In a day or two, you will have a Moving Mock-up of your design.

You will be able to test the Moving Mock-up to make sure you like the way dynamic elements move, light up or change color. Your Project Manager will point out what you need to look for. Any necessary adjustments will be made so that you can approve the Moving Mock-up. Your new website design will then go into production.

Test Site

In about a week, you will be sent a link to a fully functioning Test Site.

You will be able to use the Test Site to make sure everything is in proper working order. Your Project Manager you be available to field any errors or corrections.

Delivery

Once you confirm acceptance of the Test Site, we will deliver your finished website.
